Colorful vest

I originally made this vest to put up for sale in my Etsy shop, but, I'm going to keep it cause I like it so much and it fits me like a glove. So anyways here it is.

Alchemy

I am starting a new outfit this weekend.  I put a bid on an item and she accepted so this is the design I came up with, and I'm going to make.

My new necklace

Yay! I purchased a necklace from dazeoftheweek on etsy, the boy who made it is also known as Madonnaontherocks on Threadbanger.com   I got it in the mail yesterday and it's so pretty. I love it so much, I think I might have to wear it every day! If you want to purchase something unique and beautiful, I think you should check out his shop.  Any ways here's a picture of me wearing it.

Roll the Dice Mini Dress

Well, I got one of the dresses done that I was making. I love it and I think I'll make my self one too! It has large front pockets, with button detail and a tab on front neckline, also with button detail. Ric Rac bottom hem detail. It is very comfortable and made of cotton. I hope every one else likes it as much as me.

New clothing

I'm working on new clothing for my shop, I will be posting it soon. I am making a few dresses, and some bags too. I sold a dress to a girl in Norway, that was awesome.  Anyways, I'll be posting the completed clothing soon, about a week from now.

Another Day

Well it's another day. Over the weekend I managed to sell another shirt and I am making a custom dress. I am waiting on the fabric for the dress so I can get started.  I had a great mothers day, my kids each made me a wonderful card. We spent the day at my husband's mom's house. I can't wait untill summer. I am so bummed that it started getting cold out again.

Pressed glass flower bracelet.

I don't usually make bracelets, but I loved these beads, they are little turquoise flowers.

This is another one of my creations. It's called Asian Delight. It is pleated in the front on the bust, has elastic in the back and tie in back for close fit. Made using Alexander Henry Koto fabric.

Getting to Work

Well, today I've been pretty busy getting my customers order made so I haven't had much time to type. I got all the materials last night and made the pattern and cut it out and  cut out the fabric. This morning I have done the pleating and sewn the neck and facing pieces on. Getting ready to go and finish it right now. But before I go, I would like to tell you about another web site I forgot to mention yesterday. www.ravelry.com Is a place for knitters and crocheters,  to find patterns, buy yarn, and some supplies. The patterns on this site are amazing, if you are into knitting or crocheting, you should definitely check it out. Any ways, I have to get back to work. Be back soon.

my frist sale

I got my first sale today and I'm so excited. I can't wait to start making it, and send it out. I hope she really likes it. It's a custom order for the Rockabilly skull swirly tunic style tank. Yay!

My favorite places on the web

I would like to list some of the awesome places I have found and joined on the web. The first is www.threadbanger.com , here you can watch episodes on DIY and they are pretty great ideas. The people on the forums are so nice and very unique.  Everyone on there is so talented and have unique creations they have made. There are alot of young people that are very talented, although the ages of people range from very young to young at heart. This is one of my favorite places to go on the web. 

 

Next site is www.craftster.com, This place is filled with hundreds of thousands of people with all different talents, who love to share they're creations. Some of them are so extreme and wild that you have to do a double take. 

Next site is www.burdastyle.com, this is a place for fashion designers to come together and share they're creations with each other, you can also post and share patterns and get detailed info on current events in the fashion world.

Also check out etsy.com it is the best place to buy handmade and vintage items, it is filled with the most wonderful shops and people are so wonderful there.

If you get a chance and want to talk to some wonderful people who love making beautiful unique items, you should check these places out.
